Profile of our customers:

Stanford Wellbeing customers can be anyone over the age of 18 who require therapy or rehabilitation as a result of illness or injury. Stanford Wellbeing can provide specialist assessments in Occupational Therapy and Social Work which will enable the person to develop their bespoke treatment package.
Stanford Wellbeing is a specialist trained team of OT’s, Social Workers, Rehab Technicians and Rehab Assistants who are able to provide treatment and support to people who have complex needs as a result of injury or illness, these can include:

  • Dementia
  • Chronic and progressive neurological illness
  • Acquired Brain Injury (including Stroke)
  • Spinal Injuries
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries (Including fractures and surgery)
  • Anxiety and mood disorders

The team at Stanford Wellbeing can provide specialist therapy and rehabilitation which can help with the management of complex impairments and help minimise the impact this condition has on daily life. This intervention can take the form of:
 

  • Specialist positioning
  • Upper Limb rehabilitation
  • Equipment assessment and provision
  • Assistance with therapy exercises
  • Complex hoisting needs
  • Monitoring of baseline skills
  • Provision and training in the use of specialist equipment
  • Training of informal carers
  • Environmental assessments
  • Specialist cognitive intervention including community integration training.
